Program Supervisor for Adult Residential Facility
 
Are you an experienced Direct Support Professional with some leadership experience and a desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives? In this Program Supervisor position you will be responsible for the operational supervision of for one of our group homes for adults with developmental disabilities, including supervising program staff. Annual Salary: $41,600 

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise the operations and services of the group home facility with the guidance and direction from the Program Director
  • Develop and supervise program staff including training, ensuring they are caring for individuals with best quality of care and addressing training needs immediately and effectively, setting team morale, scheduling, hiring recommendations, in-services and team meetings, and so on
  • Maintain household supplies and upkeep, reporting any needed repairs immediately to Program Director; order supplies and do weekly grocery shopping according to needs of the dietary plans and menus
  • Ensure compliance with the standards and regulations from the licensing agency and all laws and policies, including those of the company; this includes maintaining knowledge of existing laws and regulations 
  • Support care of those served and provide direct support to individuals we serve in the home including bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, feeding, cooking and cleaning, etc.
  • Set a positive standard for the program by leading the team in a respectful and responsible manner, foster good relationships with the individuals served, staff, licensing agency personnel, families of the individuals served, and as a representative of the company.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years of experience directly supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and some supervisory/team leadership experience required
  • DSP 1 and DSP 2, and/or RBT certifications preferred
  • Valid CA driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, self-starter, team player and self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with others
  • Availability to be on-call for emergencies and to cover shifts if needed
