Clinical Director

As the Clinical Director, you will be responsible for the development and oversight of clinical or specialty services within an independent clinical service line.
Services and Support
- Oversees clinical team as assigned by monitoring delivery of clinical supports, implementation of clinical programming; ensuring consistent, engaging and relevant services are delivered to the individuals served. Participates in programmatic meetings regarding program development, policies, and procedures, program evaluation, etc. related to clinical services as needed. Establishes liaisons with consulting staff (physicians, psychologist, etc.) and mentors to ensure coordinated service delivery to individual served.
- Oversees implementation of all clinical services and assures standards and practices are in compliance with both internal policies as well as external regulations. Works with operations leadership to assess clinical support options for specialty programs and develops strategies to implement identified options.
- Responsible to oversee regulatory and licensing compliance for all clinical supports to individuals served. Ensures adherence to accreditation standards for disciplines and department in accordance with national and state guidelines.
- Assures accurate record keeping for all clinical services, documents assessments, progress and activity; reviews records and logs to stay abreast of changes in service plans; maintains confidentiality; accurately and timely completes billing documentation as applicable.
Stakeholder Relations
- Manages relations and communications with individuals served, operations leadership, families, neighbors and the general community with respect to delivery of clinical supports. Develops relationship with local and state specialty service/discipline advocacy and legislative groups.
- Maintains and fosters relations with state and regional government authorities and referral agencies such as counties, regional centers, managed care contractors, and government administrators.
Personnel
- Provides clinical direction in clinical treatment model of Family Centered Treatment, participates in monthly state-level operations meetings; conducts monthly meetings for clinical personnel.
- Assists with recruitment and hiring of clinical personnel.
- Organizes and oversees orientation and training programs; monitors training compliance and documentation. Ensures development of comprehensive training
- Employee Safety: Responsible for workers’ compensation and employee safety programs; monitors compliance; directs return to work implementation.
Growth and Development
- Oversight and responsibility for Relationship Marketing functions. Responsible for utilizing new and existing relationships to achieve lead generation activity and standards and performance goals. Directs or supports state and regional development to serve new populations and drive geographic and service line expansion; encourages and approves new start or other core development initiatives. Works with team to monitor and manage daily and monthly lead generation activities and statistics and report to the Regional Director.
- Identifies potential candidates for tuck-in or acquisition; assists with diligence and integration planning; assumes management of acquired entities.
- Directs state strategy to increase census, maintain occupancy, improve daily attendance and maximize utilization.
Education and Experience:
- Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Must be State licensed or license eligible and registered and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Should have at least two years of working with children, adolescents, and their families, and experience in working in home and community based settings.
- Additional education or experience where required by regulatory authority.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if driving on the behalf of the Company or providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
- Must be State licensed or license eligible with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), and in good standing. Must be 2 years post license / maintain “Clinical Supervising” CEUs each renewal period that allows person to provide clinical supervision
Family Centered Treatment (FCT):
- Complete the Wheels of Change online training course within 8 weeks of hire
- Complete all relevant FCT training and make consistent progress toward achieving the FCT Supervisor Certification from Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCTF). In addition to online-based training and required readings, the certification process requires videotaped demonstration of competencies in supervising FCT Clinicians.
- Once certified, the FCT Supervisor will complete all activities necessary to maintain certification from FCTF including all recertification requirements every two years.
